What we collect

To create and run your account: your name, email and phone number. If you sign up through a partner, we also keep the code used and basic details from your enquiry (wedding date, city, package interest). For payments: the UTR and amount you submit — we never ask for or store your UPI PIN, bank password or card details.

Inside your plan, you control what you enter: your budget, functions, expenses, gifts, tasks, and anyone you invite to share your plan. This also includes guest names, phone numbers and the size of each guest's party, which you enter yourself to manage your invitations.

Why we collect it

  • To create your account and run the plan you build inside it
  • To verify payments and keep an audit trail of what was paid and when
  • To email you about your account — OTP codes, payment status, reminders before a balance or your plan's validity is due, and account changes
  • To attribute sign-ups to the right promoter, where a partner code was used

Where it is stored

Your data is stored in MongoDB Atlas, in a data centre in Mumbai, India. The application itself runs on Vercel.

Who processes it

We use a small number of service providers to run WedLedger: Vercel (hosting), MongoDB Atlas (database), and an email provider (for OTP codes, receipts and reminders). If you accept analytics cookies, we also use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the website is used — these only load after you consent, and never on the app itself.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active, and for a period after your plan's validity ends (read-only, then archived) in case you choose to extend it. If you ask us to delete your data, we remove what we can and keep only what we are required to for legal or accounting reasons, for no longer than necessary.

Export and deletion

You can export your ledger, guest list and plan summary from inside the app at any time. You can ask us to delete your account and data by writing to us on the Contact page.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, you have the right to access, correct and request deletion of your personal data, and to withdraw consent for anything that depends on it (like analytics). To exercise any of these, use the Contact page — we aim to respond within a reasonable time.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product changes. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
